The BCKM Stop the Bleed medical class focused on practical, lifesaving skills for managing severe bleeding, with an emphasis on proper wound care and tourniquet safety.
Participants learned how to quickly assess bleeding emergencies, apply direct pressure, pack wounds effectively, and use commercial tourniquets correctly to control life-threatening hemorrhage.
The course stressed situational awareness and decision-making, helping students understand when and how to intervene safely until professional medical help arrives
Through hands-on practice and clear instruction, the class built confidence and preparedness to respond effectively in real-world emergency situations.
